"5 minutes with..." an art project by German based artist Ralf Pytlik

"5 minutes with ..." is an international art project of the German based artist Ralf Pytlik. In five minutes people are used as a "model" to create a new artwork. You have to know that the character will not be presented as a caricature or kind of photorealistic rather the artist captures those people and creates a new high-level work of art within 5 minutes. The outcome of this is that Ralf Pytlik will release an art book in collaboration with a publishing company. More updates, please visit 5 minutes with on facebook.

Extremely Chunky Knits By Anna Mo

Ukraine-based Anna Mo knits super chunky blankets with giant, three-inch stitches. This is the ultimate security blanket you can get lost in. She uses custom-made, two-inch-thick needles for her knits, which also include sweaters and scarves.
Mo began knitting to have a hand-based escape from her head-based design job. No surprise then, that her work emphasizes its hand-made nature. The yarn wriggles with every huge loop, imperfections are magnified, and each piece has a unique flair. This blanket will be yours and yours only!
The yarn is 100% Australian Merino wool, meaning that it is soft, warm, light, and perfect for wearing against bare skin. Winter seems forever away, but if you’re under one of these knits, it will be no threat at all.

Mo sells her knits, yarn, and giant needles at her Etsy shop, Ohhio.

Amazing Sand Sculptures by Ray Villafane

While Ray Villafane is best known for his expertise in the art of food carving, he is also recognized for his magnificent, remarkably realistic sand sculptures. Using just sand and water, the artist sculpts incredibly detailed figures that tower above him as he works. Funny-faced people, nativity scenes, and hellish creatures from Dante’s Inferno appear so life like that it’s hard to believe they were formed from humble grains of sand.

Villafane only began sand sculpting in 2008 after accepting a challenge in Jesolo, Italy.

Despite not having any experience working with the medium, he wowed viewers with his exceptional craft, and since then has received invitations from all over the world to take on new sand sculpting projects.
